Acorn Glade is only 11 miles from the historic Roman, Norman & Medieval City of York (with the Minster, Castle, National Railway Museum, Yorvik Centre & the Shambles).
Melbourne: We are located on the fringes of the Vale of York and the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The site is only a short walk from the village of Melbourne (0.5 miles away) with the Village Store and our local pub called The Melbourne Arms serving good beer & food.
Pocklington: Acorn Glade is ideally located only 6 miles from historic market town of Pocklington; if you visit the town on a Tuesday you can enjoy the market or visit at any time to enjoy a range of unique shops, pubs and good restaurants. Near to Sainsburys & Aldi is Burnby Hall Gardens with Victorian secret garden and its national collection of water lilies.
Elvington: The Yorkshire Air Museum and the York Maze are located only located only 6 miles from Acorn Glade and both well worth a visit, together with the quintessential and picturesque villages of Elvington and Sutton-upon-Derwent.
Allerthorpe Lakes & Woods: For outdoor persuits head for Allerthorpe Lakes set in 53 acres is only 2 miles from us. Alternatively stroll through the nearby Allerthorpe Woods and Country Park to discover its bridleway and nature reserve, which is a SSSI.

Beverley: is a real hidden gem (sometimes being described as a mini-York) and a firm favourite with guests. Beverley is ideally located 30 minutes from Acorn Glade with its Minster, Saturday market, plus great array of shops & restaurants.
East Yorkshire Coastal Towns: Historic English seaside towns are within easy reach of Acorn Glade. Beautiful Bridlington, fabulous Filey, Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough are less than an hour away. Whilst further afield you can visit Castle Howard or travel to elegant Scarborough in North Yorkshire & pictureque Whitby (1.5hrs way).
